Muse: Sushma Chandra This is the most powerful shoot I have ever done. The one that made me understand, that I am an artist. When Deven brought me this idea, I was more than thrilled. It had everything I love.. my obsession with Indian mythology, divine feminine energy, and storytelling that feels larger than life. My wife was the model. My closest person. And in front of the camera, she became something beyond herself.. an embodiment of Shakthi in all her forms. There were moments of softness, moments of still power, and then moments where everything shifted into something far more intense—something almost unrecognizable, yet very divine. We were in the studio with Jonny Edward (JonnyCreative). One of my favorite photographers of all time. A master of light. Watching him work felt like learning without being taught. Deven’s makeup work was flawless. Every detail felt sculpted & alive. And when Sush stepped in front of the camera, it stopped feeling like a shoot. It felt like Maha Kali herself had entered the room. I don’t think I stopped smiling the entire time. It was overwhelming in the best way. Something I never thought I would experience. This shoot didn’t just give me images. It made me an artist.
